Welcome

My name is Claire and I am a queer, neurodivergent creative currently located in Portland, OR.  I love to collect and find shiny treasures, just like a Magpie!  I create using found materials and mixing mediums that may not seem like they should go together.

Did you know that there is an Irish moth known as the Magpie Moth?? That is what this drawing logo is of.

As an artist, I find inspiration in the everyday and the overlooked. My creative process is deeply intertwined with my love for thrifted treasures and the beauty of natural materials. With each piece I create, whether it be a painting, sculpture, or wearable art, I aim to breathe new life into forgotten objects and infuse them with elements of nature.

Exploring thrift stores and flea markets is more than just a hobby for me—it's a treasure hunt, a journey of discovery where every find has the potential to become part of my next piece. Old books, vintage fabrics, and weathered trinkets all find their way into my studio, where they are transformed into something entirely new.

But my artistic vision doesn't stop at the canvas or the sculpture stand. It permeates every aspect of my life, from the way I dress to the way I adorn my surroundings. Getting dressed in the morning is not just a routine—it's a creative expression, an opportunity to curate a wearable art piece from head to toe. From the intricate layering of fabrics to the selection of decorative jewelry, every choice I make is made with the eye of an artist, seeking beauty and meaning in every detail.

In my work, I aim to blur the lines between art and life, creating pieces that are not just objects, but experiences—a celebration of creativity, individuality, and the inherent beauty of the world around us.
