Stained Glass Gallery

Stained glass is my newest explorative art form.  My practice includes collecting scrap pieces of glass, parts of old and discarded projects, and giving them new life.  I play with opacity, grain, and color to explore how glass can imitate the natural world.

 

These are the first pieces I have made.  I also have been enjoying creating jewelry out of old scraps of glass as well, using lead free solder of course.

 

For the next round of creations I am hoping to combine small gatherers, such as magpies and squirrels, with my pottery jewelry for a sweet decorative way of appreciating the nature of collecting.
